INSTRUCTIONS FOR SEEKING CHURCH
SEARCH COMMITTEE
To log in: http://cgmonline.chog.org/churches
Log in as “Church”
Click on “Register”
Enter your church zip code
If more than your church appears – just click “Register” next to your church
Enter your Contact Information and password of your choice
Click “Submit”
Your church will then appear on the administrator’s screen and your status will be changed from “new” to “active”. This can happen in a few minutes or 2 days! You will receive an email to advise you that your status is “active”. As an “active” church, you can then go back into your church record. (This time after you log in as a “church” the next screen will ask for your email and password.) You will need to click on “Position Manager”, then “Add Position” and “Select One”. The “Select One” has a drop down box which allows you to click on what position is open. You also need to indicate if it is a full time or part time position. Be sure to hit “Save”. Now you will go to “Bio Maintenance” – “Church Information” and fill out one page of questions about your church – this is VERY important.
Seeking pastors will now be able to read this information and indicate interest in your open position. You can then view their information (bio form, evaluation summary, resume, references) and print it out for your Search Committee meetings.
Please check your record often and respond to the pastors who indicate interest so they know where you are in the process. You will need to follow the prompts on each page and keep the “update status/add notes” area current on each pastor. Please make personal contact with each interested pastor – not just in the “update status” area.
